A multi vineyard blend, partially aged in old barrels. There are aromatic and herbal hints on the nose, with something that reminds me of pineapple weed. Loads of ripe fruit explodes on the palate, but there is more than enough acidity to balance it.
You can feel a little bit of Viognier’s exuberance on the palate, but it’s nicely moderated by the driving acid of the Chenin.
Overall, this feels like the most “mainstream” wine in the Nativo range – easy to understand, fruit driven, but still characterful, with some light wood influence that doesn’t detract.
