Spicy and exuberant, this punchy red blend has a serious salty, acidic charge that keeps it feeling super fresh. Even though it’s had a few years bottle age, I think it could use some more. The tannins are still quite upfront, and could integrate a little more.
Peppery and meaty, this feels dominated by the rhone varieties. A quarter of the blend is Pinotage, but have no fear – there isn’t a burnt rubber tyre in sight.
With plenty of inky, dark berry fruit on the palate, there should be no problems in ageing this further for 5 or more years.
