Half fermented in talha with skins, half in steel then aged in talha. Slightly buttery, ripe melon on the nose. Super expressive fruit, also with ripe canteloupe melon and pear. Attractive bitterness on the finish. Really typical, effusive Alvarinho fruit. There’s not much to suggest this was with skins or in talha – it’s delicate and not tannic at all. But it’s a very successful wine, if a little young – needs another year or so in the bottle.
