Softer toned and more full bodied than Gross’s Sauvignon from the Nussberg vineyard, there are subtle notes of candied peel and crushed herbs on the nose. The fruit is quite zesty, with some more earthy, herby character on the finish.
Gross’s pure, high acid trademark is still evident here, but this doesn’t quite show the energy of some of their other wines.
