Martin Diwald’s 2019 is one of the more outspoken vintages of his Eisehut vineyard that I’ve tasted so far. Normally a very shy wine when young, here it shows delicate aromas of fresh herbs and crushed rocks. There are whisps of kiwi and ripe mango on the palate, lip-smacking acidity and silky texture.
Enjoy this now, or better ,cellar it for another year or two – it surely has more to show.
