A ripe, darked fruited style, with a lot of ‘rum and raisin’ character, and a quite a bit of oak influence too.
Plenty of structure here, but the tannins have softened and are well integrated. What I like less is that the oak tends to dominate the finish, rather than the fruit. Still, this is big hunk of a wine with loads to enjoy. And even if it’s not totally my style, it’s well done.
