Inviting aromas of talcum powder, dried herbs, chamomile and hay – all very typical of Rebula. Just three days of skin contact, but that’s enough to create wonderfully satisfying textures and a subtle suggestion of tannins. Impressive harmony and lift, after seven years this is ready to drink but can age for another decade. Really shows how Rebula comes into its own, with even modest skin contact. And like a classic left-bank Bordeaux (think 90s vintages), this achieves that sleight-of-hand of depth and complexity with a nice low ABV. Outstanding.
