Although ripe, this Grüner feels a little closed for the moment, with some tangy citrus notes emerging on aeration, but otherwise feeling a bit neutral in the fruit department.
A strange style which feels like it has freshness, but somehow lacks expression on the palate.
The finish is nonetheless quite long, showing some salty apricot fruit. With only moderate acidity, it remains to be seen whether this will improve given a year or so in bottle.
